Kichwa Indian Artisan Association

Welcome to Kurypachamama

KuryPachamama is an association of 32 artisan families from five communities around Otavalo, Ecuador. Founded by women, the association sells the artwork of it's members, offers cultural tours, and has special workshops for anyone interested in learning one of the many crafts these families have mastered. Kury Pachamama seeks to preserve the indigenous culture, build a sustainable economic base, and share their knowledge and skills with the outside world. The association accepts volunteers who work with and stay with the families doing various works throughout the association.
